Chelsea Green, Director of choirs
Chelsea Green is the choral director at Lassiter High School in Marietta, GA. She
is also the assistant conductor for the Atlanta Women’s Chorus.
Ms. Green received a Bachelor of Music Education from Georgia Southern
University in Statesboro, Georgia, in 2015, and a Master of Music Education with
a focus in ethnomusicology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2021. Her
research and passion focuses on choral world music pedagogy and
performance practices at the secondary level.
Her students are selected for District Honor Chorus, All-State Chorus, and the
Georgia Governor’s Honors Program. Ms. Green’s choirs consistently receive
Superior ratings at all festivals and performance evaluations. Lassiter Chorus
has performed throughout Europe, including Vienna & Salzburg, Austria; in
Prague, Czech Republic; in Verona, Venice and Rome, Italy; Paris, France;
Barcelona & Girona, Spain; and Athens, Greece in February 2025.
Chelsea Green maintains professional memberships with the American Choral
Directors Association, National Association for Music Education, Georgia Music
Educators Association and Professional Association of Georgia Educators. She
lives in Marietta, GA, with her fiancé, Steven Horzewski and two dogs, Chase and Yuki.
